Training Grounds Ten Mile Kennels owns about 130 acres which provides the necessary technical water and upland fields to develop a well rounded retriever.  The ponds are designed to accommodate advanced training concepts such as the swim-by, channel blinds, re-entries and angle entries and exits.  We also lease thousands of acres which have been used to conduct the National Amateur Field Trial as well as numerous other retriever events.  Ten Mile Kennels does spend January - March in Texas to maintain training continuity. Our training grounds have been professionally designed to assure that your dog has every opportunity to succeed!  Each pond has been artificially dug to make sure that critical water concepts can be taught to your retriever. Each year our water resources grow!
